Porsche Club of America - Milwaukee Region

This active club of Porsche owners needed a web site that could be maintained easily by one of their members, while still containing advanced features that aren't just copy-and-paste templates and embedded objects. We developed a web site that provided them with the ability to change much of the content, manage the flow of information, and provide features to their members that were not possible before.

In 2008, their printed newsletter was replaced with an online version, which will save the club from the costs of printing and mailing hundreds of newsletters, and it frees resources to continue improving the information on the web site. The most recent addition to this web site is the integration of a powerful advertising management solution. This allows the club to generate revenue from selling advertising and sponsorships of key sections of their site. This enhancement has the potential to turn the web site into an important revenue generator for the club.

Wisconsin City/County Management Association (WCMA)

The Wisconsin City/County Management Association (WCMA) is an organization of professional managers and administrators from counties, cities, villages, and towns throughout the state. They contacted SVJ Designs when they saw the need to take their web site to the next level of usefulness for their membership and to have it reflect the professionalism of their organization.

While working with them to arrive at a design they liked, we implemented a survey of their membership so they could determine what features were used the most, and what new features should be implemented in the future. We then took a fine-toothed comb to every page on their site to make sure that it had correct spelling, grammar, consistent references, and was easy to navigate. Using our custom delivery platform, the site is now very easy to maintain, which reduces errors and omissions, and it also reduces their maintenance costs when changes are implemented.

The owners of a new vacation rental home on a beautiful lake in Southeastern Wisconsin were looking for a web site that would allow them to show potential customers what their property had to offer, what their guests would be able to do in the area, and to have an online reservation and availability calendar to make reservations easy. Since this was a new rental, they also needed assistance with publicity and marketing to get the word out and build traffic to their web site.

What we designed was a very clean and easy to read web site that uses a flexible foundation that is easy to update and is very compatible with a wide variety of web browsers. The site features plenty of photos to show off the rooms in the house and the views of the lake that their guests will enjoy, a calendar of events that the client is able to maintain so they can provide a list of the most interesting events happening in the area, and a reservation calendar which provides potential customers with immediate knowledge of when the rental is available and a contact form in which to contact the owners and make the necessary arrangements.

This family-owned business is about to open a second location in the Milwaukee area, and they wanted to have a professionally-designed site that represented their growing business well. They also wanted to provide their current families with a useful online tool for obtaining information and communicating with the staff through a variety of means.

We worked with them to develop a layout that was consistent with their other marketing efforts, content that would be useful for both prospective and current customers, and suggested ways to integrate their web site into their overall marketing plan. The result is a site that will not only generate revenue, but also retain their existing customers through the added value and communication the site provides.

Founded by SVJ Designs in January of 1995, this site has become one of the best sites for movie and theater information. Published by movie enthusiasts for movie enthusiasts, you won't find corporate stodginess here, just a finely tuned publication that delivers on its promises.

A portrait photographer wanted a simple web site that would communicate the services he provides, but most of all, showcase the photos that he has in his portfolio. We worked with him to develop a site which is easy to navigate and implemented a high-quality photo album that he his able to update and add captions to each photo.

St. Mary Catholic Faith Community

One of the largest parishes in the Milwaukee Archdiocese, St. Mary's wanted to rebuild their web site from the ground up. What was done originally as a volunteer effort by a parish member languished for months without updating, and the site needed an incredible amount of work to bring it up to today's standards. SVJ Designs started with nothing, and is working with the parish office to create a site that is useful to current and prospective parishioners.
